Is This Class Right for Your Dog?

This class is open to and dogs puppies who meet the following criteria:

• Puppies and dogs 6 months and older at the start of the class.
• Have received at least their third round of vaccinations including Rabies (proof is required).

What Your Dog Will Learn:

This class focuses on building essential life skills and manners. We will cover:

• Obedience: Stronger commands like Sit, Down, and Come when called at a distance.
• Handling & Grooming: Staying comfortable with being handled, brushed, and examined by another person.
• Focus & Attention: Enhancing your dog’s ability to focus on you at a higher level.
• Leash Skills: Higher quality leash walking through crowds and ignoring other dogs.
• Dog Manners Your dog will walk near other dogs without lunging or barking.
• Stay: Ensuring your dog will follow a stay command while you walk away from them.
• Accepting a stranger holding the leash

What You Need to Bring:

• First Class (Humans Only!):
  
  • A folding chair for your comfort.
  • IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT bring your dog to the very first class session. This is an orientation for owners.
• All Subsequent Classes (Weeks 2-7):
  
  • Your Puppy! (on a flat buckle collar or harness and a 4-6 foot standard leash – no retractable leashes please)
  • A treat pouch for easy access.
  • Plenty of small, high-value treats your puppy loves.
  • A clicker.
